This is not a play while no effect integrated (it seems that on my high end bracket there is a gate and compressor but it is rare to have that high-end bracket). Mine is 24 tracks / groups 8/16 tape return / return effect and 8Įqual parametric next tranche of series that is instal. It might be not perfect but shows the direction.A little too big to be rackable (she is 85kg). Here is some of the examples of records i dig. How would you compare this two? In terms of EQ? In terms of stereo panorama? Low end? Any other boards that might be better choices in similar price range? I am also offered an Soundcraft 600 in good condition at the same price. Didn`t hear it myself, but i am worried if this board is able to make old-school kind of records, it seems for me that all modern gear tends to be "clean" (and somehow boring i guess, or it is just me).

So far i did read a great reviews of Midas Venice. I don`t really care that much about "clean" sound - it just needs to be musical (though i believe there might be a balance). Today I`m mostly using synths like Roland Aplha-Juno, DX7, want to buy Roland SH-101 and Ensoniq synth (And i also have great drums - TR-909, MPC 60, 707, 727 etc.). I have outboard equipment, but not too much: JDK EQ, Drawmer Tube EQ, Drawmer Comp, Valley People old comp, BBE exciter, Aphex Exciter and some other stuff. I really want my gear to be able to add some space to the mix, a good equlaizer that will help me separate instruments and drums in my mix. To my experience this music have some extra trippy filling that i am after. I really dig, for example, 90-s NY deep house and early german trance records (1989-1991) and i also dig some of italo-house records and chicago early rough-sounding records (and acid!).

I need a mixer with some kind of old-school vibe in it. I am looking for a mixer to go OTB for my home music production setup to get rid of this digital sound completely. So far i narrowed my search to these two (Soundcraft 600 vs Midas Venice 240). I am new to forum and to analog mixing world, but i am willing to buy my first mixing desk.
